It is worth the 25 adapter and 5 app to be able to do.I need to start working on my own car now that warranty is done. Not only does this app read balance rates, but you can monitor basically any sensor that goes through the ecm. I recently downloaded the android torque app to my phone and bought an OBD2 bluetooth adapter from Amazon. 540 Engine Percent Torque At Point 2 541 Engine Percent Torque At Point 3 542 Engine Percent Torque At Point 4 543 Engine Percent Torque At Point 5 544 Engine Reference Torque 545 Engine Gain (Kp) Of The Endspeed Governor 546 Retarder Speed At Idle, Point 1 547 Retarder Speed At Peak Torque, Point 5 548 Maximum Retarder Speed, Point 2How's it going guys.
Previous threads have often turned into pissing contest between Droid VS. I'm looking for a comparable app but for iOS devices (Apple). Looks like the Torque app is a good one if using an Android OS.
RPM is the most important input to the PCM, without it the engine will not run. RPM is the only input that the PCM cannot substitute. This information comes to the PCM from the crank sensor or ignition system. Engine rpm RPM is a measurement of engine speed.
This apps seems to a bit more them BMWhat app. Or if you have another app you can recommend. Non-CAN, 11-bit CAN, and 29-bit CAN ECU bus types+ Email user log function (access by long pressing custom PID screen)Personnaly I've used almost all the different OBD apps and only 2 stands out to me. + User can add more libraries within the app or by using iTunes File Sharing+ Multiple ECU support. No mention of it in details:+ Show and reset a DTC / CEL / fault code like a scan tool+ MPG widget to plot real time fuel efficiency+ Heads up display / HUD mode for night time driving (mirror the display on your vehicle's windshield)+ Can read Transmission Temperatures (vehicle dependant)+ Engine speed / Engine RPM / Engine Load /Coolant / Fuel Tank+ Full configurable GUI with user choice of dial gauge, bar gauge, plot gauge, digital gauge, and on-off gauge as display elements+ Preloaded standard PID library and Prius PID libraries. I've had some misfires but need to confirm with codes.
